Overloading trucks poses a great danger, don't let the disaster start with the goods!

The issue of overloaded trucks has always been a prominent problem, but recently it has received more attention due to the major accidents caused by the breakage of trucks due to overloading in Wuxi. So what are the hazards of overloading trucks? Beijing Logistics Express hopes that truck drivers should pay attention to it.

The Wuxi overpass rollover accident has been preliminarily identified as caused by overloading of transport vehicles, resulting in multiple casualties. As logistics and transportation industry professionals, we are deeply saddened. Faced with overloaded transportation, many truck drivers also have grievances and can only make shippers and bosses load as much as they want. Actually, truck drivers are aware of the dangers of overloading transportation, but what can they do if they don't listen to their bosses? However, the bloody lesson learned from the Wuxi incident has also sounded the alarm for truck drivers that safety responsibility is no small matter. Therefore, the Beijing Logistics Line hopes that our truck drivers can ensure that they do not overload or exceed the limit. Due to overloading, if an accident occurs, it can result in minor property damage and severe vehicle accidents and fatalities.

Some truck drivers also said that at the beginning, the shipper told us how many tons of goods to load, but after arriving at the scene, it exceeded the actual tonnage by a lot. What should we do? Allowing the shipper to load less but unwilling, loading it up and driving it is unsafe, and emptying it back will not subsidize the cost for the shipper. Once the goods are loaded onto the truck, they are prone to hazards such as tire explosions, decreased braking performance, and centrifugal force deviation during turning. In such cases, Beijing Logistics Line believes that it is better to empty the truck once than to empty it for a lifetime. At the same time, we also call on shippers, peers, and participants not to overload or exceed the limit of the truck for petty gains, or to refuse to allow drivers to overload or exceed the limit of the truck. Let's work together to maintain the stability of the logistics and transportation industry!

The more important harm of overloading trucks is that it poses a danger to both oneself and others' safety, as overloading is definitely a problem that affects vehicle driving and becomes more difficult to control, especially prone to accidents. If there is a tire blowout or brake failure, there is a possibility of accidents such as rollover.

In addition, many countries' roads, overpasses, roadbeds, etc. have a maximum compression limit of weight. If every truck is overloaded, it will definitely not be able to withstand it, which can easily lead to road damage, bridge breakage, and at the lightest level, greatly shorten its service life.
